Privacy Policy
Sub 60 or Bust · Last updated July 27, 2026
Sub 60 or Bust ("the app," "we") is a personal training app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We keep it simple because we collect very little.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, a password (stored securely/hashed by our authentication provider), and a display name.
- Training data you enter. Your training plan and the workouts you log — dates, distances, times, pace, effort ratings, and notes.
- Apple Health (HealthKit) data. With your permission, the app reads workout data such as distance, duration, heart rate, active energy, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, VO₂ max, and sleep to display your metrics and match completed workouts to your plan.
How your data is stored and shared
- Health data stays on your device. Detailed Apple Health data (heart rate, routes, splits, and similar) is read on-device and is not uploaded to our servers.
- Workout summaries sync so your partner can see them. If you pair with a training partner, a lightweight summary of each workout (date, type, distance, time, pace, effort, and the workout description) is stored on our backend so your paired partner — and only your paired partner — can view it, react, and send nudges.
- Our backend. Account info and workout summaries are stored using Supabase (hosted in the United States) on a project we control. Access is restricted by row-level security so you and your paired partner can only see each other's data.
How we use your information
- To provide the app: show your plan, track your progress, and sync between you and your training partner.
- To send you app notifications you enable (e.g., reminders and partner nudges).
What we do NOT do
- We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing, and we never sell it.
- We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.
- We use no third-party advertising or analytics/tracking SDKs.
Your choices and rights
- Health access: you can grant or revoke Apple Health permissions any time in the iOS Health app or Settings.
- Delete your account and data: email terence@stewardingchange.org and we will delete your account and all associated data.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the "last updated" date above.
